BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND
So, you have made the decision to have professional portraits done. Congratulations! Now, what are you going to do with those images? What are your goals? How do you want to see these images in 5, 10, or even 20 years? It is easier to figure this out if you will start with the END IN MIND.
Where do you want to display your portraits? Do you want a grouping of images to hang on your wall, a single framed image or perhaps a custom designed heirloom album with lots of images from your session? We will design a unique plan for you and help you decide how and where your photos will be displayed in your home. All of your wants, needs and concerns will be discussed in your consultation, the first step of The Process.
THE CONSULTATION
The Consultation is the first step in The Process. Whether in person or over the phone, this is a time for us to get to know each other and for you to get all of your questions answered! And you will probably have lots of questions. That's okay! Don't be afraid to ask. Some of the things we will discuss are:
- Where you want to display your images.
- What to wear and what types of clothing photographs best.
- Color design
- What types of products I offer.
- Pricing for products.
- What your style is and what my style is.
- What your goals are for the session.
THE SESSION
Let's have some fun! The Session is all about relaxing and having fun. I want you to enjoy this day and soak it on. The LAST thing I want is for your session to be stressful! I'm sure you have plenty of other things to be stressed about, not this!
If you are here for a newborn session, it is your time to take a break, rest or even take a cat nap in the studio. Coming in for a maternity session, it's my job to make you feel and look as beautiful as you really are! Bringing the whole family in, bring it on! Don't worry about crazy kids. I've seen it all!
Sessions take place in my beautiful, downtown studio in Greensboro. The rooms are stylish yet relaxed and set up for you and your family's comfort. I use controlled studio lighting to capture your beautiful images. I have a large selection of props, maternity gowns, and newborn and sitter outfits than have been hand picked to ensure that your images will be unique. (I've been know to knit a special outfit or create a unique prop for your session when time permits!)
I want you to have an amazing experience while we are creating your images that will be in your family for generations.
THE ORDERING APPOINTMENT
About a week and a half after your session, you will come back to the studio for your ordering appointment. Oh, how I love to show you your sweet images!
Your ordering appointment is the time when you will finalize your portrait order, so be sure to pick a time where all decision makers can be there. Grandparents are welcome to come and pick out what they want too! I will help you sort through your images and design any products that you decide to purchase as well as help you make decisions on what will look best with your decor.
DELIVERY
About two weeks after your products have been ordered, they will be beautifully packaged and ready for pick up! Alicia will call or email you to let you know that they are here and make arrangements for you to pick up your artwork!
I have to say that it is hard for me to part with your beautiful printed pieces, but it warms my heart to know that they will be looked at every day and treasured for generations to come!
YOUR LONG-TERM PLAN
After you pick up your products, it's really not the end! Believe it or not, your children and your family will grow and change over the years. As that happens, you will want to update your portraits. In your future sessions, we can create and design art products that will coordinate with your previous sessions and products. All of the products that we design will look good now as well as in years to come as they move around your home and we add to your family's art collection.
